The old NEMCA Sport and Community Hall was demolished around a year ago, and our community has lost a very important space for children, sports clubs, families and local groups. We believe Mitcham needs a new, larger and modern community and sports centre — with more space for children, Judo, Dance club,multi-sport activities, clubs, community groups and local events and coffee shop The former site is currently sitting unused and has become overgrown, with rubbish and discarded materials. We don’t want to see this important community space forgotten.
We are asking local residents, parents, sports clubs, NEMCA users and community groups to show their support for a new centre. Please take a couple of minutes to complete our online support questionnaire. Every response helps demonstrate how important this facility is to our community.
